The Modoc Economic
Development Corporation and the citizens of Modoc County welcome
you to visit us and explore our unique area. Modoc County is
4,340 square miles of high desert beauty, unspoiled, unpolluted
and un-crowded. The elevation ranges from 4,000 to 10,000 feet,
90 percent of the county consists of national forests, refuges
and wilderness areas.
The Modoc Economic
Development Corporation is a non-profit organization consisting
of local business owners working toward developing a healthier
economy for the county. They carefully administer a revolving
loan fund for business start-ups and job creation. The MEDC
board is very active supporting local economic development
activity. They assist in grant applications, provide input for
local projects and are just all ‘round good folks interested in
healthy business development. You will find our towns and
communities safe and inviting. We encourage you to visit our
shops and eateries, and relax the Modoc way!.

About MEDC
Modoc County Economic Development Corporation
is a non-profit organization. The MEDC was founded in 1985
in order to diversify and strengthen the economy of Modoc
County. Modoc Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) developed
a local Revolving Loan Fund to assist in establishing
existing businesses in our area. MEDC board members consists of
local Modoc County citizens.

qualifying new and established businesses in Modoc County.

- Business owners must show business
management & loan repayment abilities.

Maximum Loan Amount |
- Loans may be repaid over a term of up to
5 years, depending upon the purpose.
- Interest rate will vary.
- Loan Fees are typically $50 - $250.

- Maximum loan amount will vary depending
on purpose and other factors.

Review Process |

Collateral is normally required on all loans;
most tangible assets may be considered for collateral purposes. |

The MEDC board of directors reviews each application individually to
access borrower's complete loan package. Decisions will be made
based on availability of loan funds. |
